Uefa and Conmebol to launch Women’s Finalissima

European football’s governing body Uefa and Conmebol, the South American Football Confederation, have announced the launch of a Women’s Finalissima following the successful staging of the inaugural men’s event.

London’s Wembley Stadium played host on Wednesday as Copa América champion Argentina defeated Euro 2020 winner Italy 3-0. Uefa and Conmebol have now announced a series of new events involving women’s football, futsal and youth teams from the two confederations.
