UCI unveils cost-cutting measures, warns of Olympic revenue reduction

The UCI, the governing body for cycling, has decided to furlough its workforce to lessen the economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The organisation held an emergency meeting at which it resolved to place all 130 UCI and World Cycling Centre employees on either partial or full furlough. The UCI’s elected leaders and senior management have also agreed to reduce their salaries and their allowances.
