The International Cycling Union (UCI) has announced it will launch a World Cup and World Championships for the snow bike discipline of the sport.

The news was part of a series of decisions made by the UCI Management Committee following a three-day meeting that concluded on Saturday. In September, the UCI said it was continuing to explore the development of its snow bike discipline and was considering introducing a World Cup and World Championships for the 2022-23 winter season.
