Toronto Wolfpack signs Rugby Strength as main jersey sponsor

Canadian transatlantic rugby league team Toronto Wolfpack has signed Rugby Strength as its main jersey sponsor for the upcoming 2020 Super League season.

Rugby Strength is the CBD body cream brand launched by the team last October in partnership with branding and product development company HowlBrands.

“Our profile as a global sporting team is ever-expanding and Rugby Strength plays a key role in this. We are delighted to be in the rapid-growth market of CBD pain-relief and alternative, natural medical solutions to ever-present problems athletes and others face in their lives,” Toronto chief executive Robert Hunter said in a statement.

In December, Toronto extended its partnership with Canadian diamond brand Maple Leaf Diamonds, whose logo will appear on the right chest of Toronto home and away jerseys throughout the 2020 season.

Toronto recently unveiled sportswear company BLK as its new kit provider and cross-code rugby international Sonny Bill Williams as its new minority owner and star player.

Meanwhile, Serbian club Red Star Belgrade intends to apply to the Rugby Football League for a place in League One, possibly as soon as 2021.
