Textor in advanced talks to buy Olympique Lyonnais

American investor John Textor is set to become the majority shareholder in French Ligue 1 club Olympique Lyonnais.

Textor, who owns Brazil’s Botafogo and second-tier Belgian side RWD Molenbeek and a significant share in English Premier League club Crystal Palace, has been in advanced talks with Lyon’s president and current majority shareholder Jean-Michel Aulas.
