Software company TeamViewer has revealed that it is looking to amend the terms of its existing sponsorship of Manchester United after an activist investor called out the company's sports deals.
Petrus Advisers, which has just under a three-per-cent stake in TeamViewer, excoriated the company's sponsorship deals with Manchester United and the Mercedes Formula 1 team in a letter to executives, calling them "a sign of hubris and appalling judgment" given TeamViewer's financial situation.
