Indian telecommunications company Tata Communications has acquired New York-based live video production and transmission provider The Switch Enterprises through an agreement with Tata's subsidiary Tata Communications Netherlands B.V.
The deal will give Tata Communications another entry point into North American media and entertainment markets. In the agreement, Tata Communicaitons is acquiring 100 per cent equity stake in The Switch Enterprises and certain international assets at a $58.8m (€52.75m) value.
