Men's professional rugby union club competition Super Rugby Pacific will begin with nine weeks of domestic fixtures after organisers were forced to delay cross-border matches due to tightened Covid restrictions in New Zealand.
The revamped competition features 12 franchises from Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. It was set to begin on February 18 with Auckland-based Moana Pasifika hosting Canberra’s Brumbies, but that match will now take place on May 28.
