Super League Triathlon has announced that it will introduce a franchise-based concept, SLT Teams, to its 2021 season, in a major expansion of the series.
The Super League will launch five franchises – the Cheetahs, Eagles, Rhinos, Scorpions and Sharks – each managed by a high-profile former triathlete, who will pick their teams from the 40 athletes set to compete in this year’s four Championship Series events, with four male and four female competitors on each team.
