Stillitano in legal battle with Relevent Sports over payoff, non-compete clause

Veteran American soccer promoter Charlie Stillitano has left his role as Relevent Sports executive chairman and is now involved in a legal battle with his former employers over attempting to stage his own European soccer matches in the United States, allegedly violating a non-compete clause.

Having joined Relevent Sports in 2012, Stillitano played a major role in the success and expansion of the International Champions Cup preseason tournament, which is primarily staged in the United States and Asia.
