State of Origin opener moved to Queensland amid Covid outbreak in Victoria

Australia's National Rugby League has relocated the 2021 Stage of Origin opener to Townsville, Queensland, due to an ongoing Covid-19 outbreak in the state of Victoria.

Game one of the three-match series, originally set to be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, will now be hosted at the Queensland Country Bank Stadium on June 9.
