Sports Matters Academy focuses on live event production

The fourth module of Sports Matters Academy, Live Matters, will discuss the topic of staging live sports events with a panel of experts this Thursday, April 7, at 10am Singapore time.

Subjects for discussion will include the return of live events after the pandemic in the Asia-Pacific region, maintaining event atmosphere while hosting events safely, emerging events technology, events sponsorship, and more.

The panellists for the discussion are: Sandra Dharmawan, consultant on business and product development at Grabyo; Huw Bevan, director of Singapore-based sports media production consultancy Tiger Sports Media; Paul Sergeant, executive vice president, operations, for Asia and the Gulf at venue and events management company ASM Global; and Dominic Lau, television presenter and ring announcer for ONE Championship.

Live Matters will be a live video stream. After the main discussion, there will be a question-and-answer session in which viewers can interact directly with the speakers.

Sports Matters Academy modules are free to attend, upon registration. The academy is an initiative from Singapore-based industry events organiser Branded that aims to provide educational content and unique industry insights to students, young executives, athletes, and others that are thinking of developing a career in the sports industry.
