German sports broadcaster Sport1 has launched a new multi-sports streaming platform which will be monetised by pay-per-view and subscription revenues and will initially be centred on coverage of the domestic Women’s Volleyball Bundesliga following a recent rights agreement.
Sport1 Extra will be available on the web and via mobile devices in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
