The in-flight and in-ship market has recovered to 50 per cent of pre-pandemic levels, according to Richard Wise, head of the IMG agency’s Sport 24 service.
The operation was heavily impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic with planes grounded and ships anchored, prompting airlines and cruise companies to undertake huge budget and staff cuts. At the worst of the pandemic, the number of planes offering Sport 24 was understood to have dropped to roughly 10 per cent of the total in place before the health crisis struck.
