Spanish watchdog requests changes to Copa del Rey betting rights tender

Spain’s competition watchdog, the Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia (CNMC), has suggested changes to the Spanish Football Federation’s (RFEF’s) tender for betting streaming rights to the Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup.

In its latest challenge to a rights auction run by the RFEF, the regulator has warned that "some of the conditions proposed by the RFEF for the tender do not meet the requirements established in Royal Decree-Law 5/2015".
