South Korea’s president backs 2023 Asian Cup bid

South Korea's president has directed the country's sports minister to try to secure the hosting rights for next year's Asian Football Confederation Asian Cup.

The AFC has begun a process to find a new host for the tournament after China pulled out last month. Would-be hosts have until June 30 to notify the AFC of their interest.
