Third-quarter revenues at Comcast-owned European pay-television broadcaster Sky reached $4.79bn, a 5.2-per-cent year-on-year increase, with content revenues buoyed by higher wholesale revenues from returning sports programming.

Excluding currency impacts, the third-quarter revenue figure was flat (up 0.3 per cent) on the figure reported 12 months ago. Comcast ascribed this to higher content revenue offset by lower direct-to-consumer and advertising revenues.
