Skoll acquires Monumental Sports minority stake

Jeff Skoll, the Canadian billionaire businessman, has joined Monumental Sports & Entertainment as a minority investor.

Monumental operates the National Hockey League’s Washington Capitals, the National Basketball Association’s Washington Wizards, the Women’s National Basketball Association’s Washington Mystics, NBA G League’s Capital City Go-Go, NBA 2K League’s Wizards District Gaming, and recently acquired total control of regional sports network NBC Sports Washington.
