Skating Grand Prix final in Japan called off after border closure

The International Skating Union Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final will not take place in Osaka next week as originally planned due to Japan closing its borders as part of measures to address the new Omicron variant of Covid.

The Japanese government on Monday banned all foreign arrivals in the country.
