AGCOM, the regulator and competition authority for the communications industry in Italy, has approved the guidelines for the sale of the next set of domestic broadcast rights to Serie A, the top division of football in Italy, including amendments relating to access to footage.

The guidelines concern the three seasons spanning 2024-25 to 2026-27, with Lega Serie A now being able to draw up the invitation to tender documents as it seeks to award contracts before the end of the current campaign.
