The Scottish Football Association (SFA), Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) and Scottish Women’s Premier League (SWPL) have announced the creation of a centralised commercial operation that they vow will “revolutionise the promotion and marketing of the national game in Scotland”.

Scottish Football Marketing is to begin recruiting staff to report to a commercial board appointed by the three governing bodies. According to an announcement from the three rights-holders today (Thursday), this is “with a view to harnessing a compelling and unified brand for Scottish football, and increasing revenues from enhanced data collection, sponsorship and licensing for the entire game”.
