The 2015 Cricket World Cup schedule has been confirmed, with the Melbourne Cricket Ground named as finals host.
The event will be held return to Australia and New Zealand after 23 years with Adelaide, Auckland, Brisbane, Canberra, Christchurch, Dunedin, Napier, Nelson, Hamilton, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Wellington confirmed as host cities.
Australian prime minister Kevin Rudd said: "This is one of the biggest events in world sport. It will attract cricket fans from around the globe, and will also promote Australia and our close friend New Zealand internationally – especially in India and other parts of south Asia."
The competition will take place from February 14 to March 29.
