Campeonato Brasileiro Série A football clubs Santos and Goiás have agreed shirt sponsorship deals with agribusiness company Kicaldo and sports entertainment firm MarjoSports, respectively.
Kicaldo, which specialises in producing bean-based food products, has agreed a three-month deal to become a sleeve sponsor of Santos.
The agreement will run through to the end of the 2019 Série A season. Kicaldo will also receive exposure at Santos’ Estádio Vila Belmiro, via the club’s digital platforms, on the training and travel kit, and at the training ground.
Santos has said it hopes the deal can develop into a long-term arrangement. José Carlos Peres, president of Santos, added: “This is a sign of the return of market confidence in our club.
“Santos FC have had record visibility in broadcasting in this championship, with a high competitive level on the field attracting even more media attention. All this work makes us more attractive to strong brands and market leaders like Kicaldo.”
Meanwhile, MarjoSports, which offers a range of sports products, including online gambling, will become Goiás’ main shirt sponsor through to the end of 2020.
MarjoSports’ brand has been present on the front of Goiás’ shirt for the past fortnight, but the relationship between the pair has now been formalised. The company will also receive brand exposure on interview backdrops and static signs at the Estadio de Hailé Pinheiro, at the club’s training ground and via digital media platforms.
Marcelo Almeida, executive president of Goiás, said: “A leader in this segment that has been growing in the world has seen in Goiás values that add to its national expansion strategy. Having a partner that generates engagement with our fans is also a differential that excited us a lot.”
