SAN MARINO F1 RACE SET FOR 2007

A decision was taken to expand the 2007 Formula One calendar from an initial 17 to 18 races. Earlier in the year both the San Marino and the Turkish grand prix were left off the provisional calendar because of the return of the Belgian grand prix at Spa and a decision to reduce the number of races.

The San Marino circuit at Imola is the closest to Ferrari’s headquarters. Its inclusion on the calendar is subject to the circuit undertaking renovations and the FIA’s Formula 1 commission and World Motor Sport Council must also approve the reinstatement.
