Saada: Any Canal Plus sublicensing of Uefa rights would be non-exclusive

Maxime Saada, president of pay-television broadcaster Canal Plus, insists that any sublicensing of its newly-acquired rights in France to the Uefa club competitions from 2024-25 onwards will only be done on a non-exclusive basis.

Speaking in the wake of Canal Plus’ swoop for a clean sweep of rights to the Uefa Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League, Saada told L'Équipe that the on-sale of rights to beIN Sports, RMC Sport or even Amazon is possible, but not at the cost of exclusivity.
