Russia has been eliminated from qualifying for the 2022 Fifa World Cup after the governing bodies of world and European football barred all Russian teams from their competitions.

The moves by Fifa and Uefa also stop the Russian women's team from playing in the European Championships this July and remove Spartak Moscow from this season's Europa League at the Round-of-16 stage.
