RTVE nets free-to-air Fifa World Cup rights

Spanish public broadcaster RTVE has secured free-to-air rights from the Mediapro agency to show matches from the 2022 Fifa World Cup.

Following reports from Spanish TV news website VerTele, sources confirmed to SportBusiness that RTVE will show matches from this year's World Cup, which will be held in Qatar from November 21 to December 18.
