Staff at Mediapro-owned French football pay-television channel Téléfoot have been advised that the station may soon shut down. Mediapro was reported last weekend to have missed a rights fee payment deadline due under its deal with the French football league for domestic rights to Ligue 1 football. The Spanish agency has been struggling with the cost of the deal after failing to secure carriage for Téléfoot on Canal Plus, France's biggest pay-television platform.
