Rio to seek new site for motorsport circuit, São Paulo sets out F1 race payment

Rio de Janeiro’s Mayor, Eduardo Paes, has said he will seek to identify a new site for the city’s proposed new motorsport circuit, as financial details behind São Paulo’s extended race contract with Formula 1 were revealed.

The long-term future of Brazil’s annual grand prix has been the subject of much speculation in recent months, talk that was finally ended when F1 last month confirmed that São Paulo would continue to host the event until 2025.
