The Rugby Football Union (RFU) has announced an ambitious plan to make the Premier15s the world’s first fully-professional women’s rugby club competition.
Announcing a 10-year strategy plan to professionalise women’s club rugby, the RFU said the revamped league, starting in the 2023-24 season, will cost £222m (€258.2m) to establish over 10 seasons.
