The International Cycling Union (UCI) has announced that this year’s Track World Championships, originally scheduled for Turkmenistan, will now be held in the French city of Roubaix.
The event will take place from October 20-24 at the Vélodrome Couvert Régional Jean-Stablinski, which opened in 2012 and has a 250-metre track. The venue forms part of Roubaix’s Parc des Sports, next to the Vélodrome André-Pétrieux, which hosts the finish of the Paris-Roubaix Classic road race.
