A record-breaking average national audience of 440,000 viewers watched Australia romp to victory in the second Ashes Test on pay-television broadcaster Foxtel and Foxtel-owned streaming service Kayo, according to data obtained by TV Blackbox.
It is the largest average audience across the first four days of a test since Foxtel began broadcasting home matches three years ago. Audiences were 11-per-cent higher than the next most-watched Test on Foxtel, last year’s Boxing Day clash against India.
