Rao to depart FIA role

The International Automobile Federation (FIA) has announced the departure of Shaila-Ann Rao as interim secretary general for motor sport, amid continuing questions over her prior connection to the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 team.

The experienced sports industry executive was appointed to the role in June, replacing the outgoing Peter Bayer.
