Rakuten Sports close to finalising first Warriors APAC sponsorship deal

Rakuten Sports, the Rakuten Group’s sport and entertainment partnership services unit, expects to conclude its first regional deal for the Golden State Warriors in the coming months and has ambitions to secure multiple agreements for the 2022 NBA Champions.

In April, the Golden State Warriors and Rakuten Sports entered into a strategic partnership for business development and partner acquisition in key Asia-Pacific markets, with the Tokyo-based company becoming the franchise’s exclusive international partner in Japan, Taiwan and Singapore for the promotion and sale of Warriors sponsorship.
