Raiders and Packers to play a pre-season game in Winnipeg

Winnipeg’s IG Field, the home of the Canadian Football League’s Blue Bombers, will play host to an NFL pre-season game between the Oakland Raiders and Green Bay Packers. The game will be played on Aug. 22 and is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.

The Raiders will play just eight home games in its final Oakland season, with one home pre-season game now being played in Winnipeg and a regular season game being played in London. The Raiders are relocating to Las Vegas beginning with the 2020 season.

“We are thrilled to welcome both the Oakland Raiders and Green Bay Packers to IG Field this summer,” Blue Bombers president and chief executive Wade Miller said in a statement. “We look forward to NFL and CFL fans alike joining us this August for this special sporting event at IG Field as we showcase our great stadium and the city’s passion for the sport of football.”
