Soccer technology and entertainment company TOCA Football has announced a $40m (€33.5m) Series E funding round, which includes among the investors Jared Smith, the co-founder and former chief operating officer of Utah-based data and analytics research firm Qualtrics.
Smith's younger brother Ryan Smith recently purchased the National Basketball Association's Utah Jazz and is believed to be interested in acquiring Major League Soccer's Real Salt Lake.
