The television and print campaign depicts the defending Olympic champions as fierce competitors on the quest for World Cup victory. The initial focus on the Cameroon team has two creative executions, entitled ‘Indomitable Lions’, and will kick off on music television satellite network MTV.
The ads will debut across Europe this month with further roll-out worldwide in November.
Puma and its creative agency, Gryo Worldwide, have looked to focus their World Cup ad campaign around the ‘Japanimation’ art of host nations Japan and South Korea.
Following the Cameroon-based ads, Puma will create a second TV and print World Cup campaign featuring their headline players. Both campaigns will run up to and throughout the course of the 2002 World Cup.
