Providence invests in Wasserman as RedBird, Madrone exit

California-based sports marketing, music and talent agency Wasserman has received a strategic investment from private equity firm Providence Equity Partners.

Wasserman said that the investment from Providence will be used to provide capital to pursue growth initiatives and “fully redeem” RedBird Capital Partners and Madrone Capital Partners, who exit as investors in Wasserman.
