Premier League chair Hoffman to stand down after Newcastle backlash

Gary Hoffman, chairman of football’s English Premier League, is to step down from the role after several clubs expressed opposition to Newcastle United’s recent takeover by Saudi Arabian sovereign wealth fund the Public Investment Fund.
