Premier League appoints Brittain as first female Chair

New Premier League Chair Alison Brittain

The English Premier League has announced former government advisor Alison Brittain as its first female Chair after clubs voted unanimously to confirm her appointment.

Brittain will succeed interim chair Peter McCormick in early 2023 when she steps down from her current role as chief executive of hospitality business Whitbread.
