Poland passes media reform bill, Discovery condemns it

The Polish parliament has passed a bill that could endanger Discovery’s presence in the country, with the media group condemning the bill and asking the Polish president to veto it.

The controversial Lex TVN legislation would prevent companies from outside the European Economic Area from taking control of Polish media. Discovery, which owns Polish television network TVN, would potentially be forced to reduce its stake.
