Penn Medicine partners with Philadelphia Flyers, Wells Fargo Center

The Philadelphia Flyers and the Wells Fargo Center have signed a partnership with Penn Medicine, which will become the official health system of the National Hockey League team and its venue.

The University of Pennsylvania-based academic medical center will become the Flyers’ official medical services provider, including on-ice, orthopedic, and general practice, as well as the preferred provider for front office employees of parent company Comcast Spectacor.

As part of the deal, Penn Medicine will also become the presenting partner of the Gritty 5K, the highly-popular event launched in 2019 that benefits Flyers Charities, and is named for the club’s highly popular mascot. Furthermore, the partnership will include activations featuring Flyers players and a social media series highlighting the importance of healthy lifestyles, physical fitness, and proper eating habits.

Penn Medicine branding will appear throughout the Wells Fargo Center, including on the ice during Flyers games and throughout the venue’s concourse, parking lots and other areas of the arena.

In November, the Flyers and Wells Fargo Center signed a multi-year partnership with Coca-Cola.
