The Organising Committee for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris (COJO) is set to confirm a 10-per-cent increase in its €4bn ($4.13bn) budget, mainly due to soaring inflation.

COJO discussed the latest financial thinking for the Games at a meeting yesterday (Tuesday). A revised budget figure is set to be formally presented at a board of directors meeting on December 12, and is expected to rise by around €400m.
