LaLiga club CA Osasuna has signed up global sportswear brand Adidas as its new kit supplier.
The Spanish side will wear Adidas kit from the start of the 2020-21 season, with the deal running through until the end of the 2023-24 season. The brand has previously held Osasuna’s kit supply rights, including between 2013 and 2018.
This was before it was replaced by Danish brand Hummel in a four-year deal worth around €660,000 per season, as detailed by SportBusiness Soccer. This agreement has now been curtailed ahead of time, and Adidas has taken up the role ahead of the club’s centenary year.
It also follows the replacement of the club’s former front-of-shirt sponsor, gambling brand Kirolbet with local frozen vegetable brand Verleal in a two-year agreement that includes an option for a further year.
That decision was taken following a vote against the continuation of the €600,000 per season deal ahead of the Spanish government’s new draft gambling regulations, which aim to ban betting operator branding on sports clubs.
