Mixed martial arts and sports organisation One Championship has signed “strategic partnerships” with at least 13 global brands ahead of the 2020 season.
One Championship sponsors this year will include JBL, TUMI, Redbull, Lazada, DBS Bank, Foodpanda, Hugo Boss, Harvey Norman, Secretlab, California Fitness, Kredivo, Reckitt Benckiser, and Unilever, among others.
The brands will work with One Championship and the new One Esports division on branding and and activatiion initiatives across multiple platforms.
Commenting on the sponsorship drive, Chatri Sityodtong, chairman and chief executive of One Championship, said: “Each of our partners share with us a harmonious culture of excellence and innovation, and each play a specific role in realising our vision at One Championship.”
The One Esports brand was added to the mixed martial arts operation with the launch of the One Esports Dota 2 Singapore World Pro Invitational at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in December.
Carlos Alimurung, chief executive of One Esports, said the inaugural event was a “huge success” and that two more esports events will take place this year: the One Esports Dota 2 Jakarta Invitational in April and the One Esports Singapore Major in June.
In total, One Championship will schedule more than 50 live events in 2020 across the organisation’s martial arts and esports properties.
