Olympic champion Didier Défago has been appointed as the new chief executive of the local organising committee for the 2027 Alpine Ski World Championships in Crans-Montana, Switzerland.
Défago, who won gold for Switzerland in the men’s downhill at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, has come in following the short-lived tenure of predecessor Caroline Kuyper.
