OL Groupe, which operates French Ligue 1 football club Olympique Lyonnais, has posted a net loss of €107m ($124m) for the 2020-21 financial year, with the results significantly hit by the Covid-19 pandemic and the team’s absence from European competitions.

Revenue for the year stood at €177.4m, down 35 per cent from the €271.6m figure posted in 2019-20. OL Groupe stated that the absence of matchday revenue as a result of Covid-19 restrictions during the 2020-21 season played a key part in the drop in revenue.
