The proposed private equity investment deal by Silver Lake in rugby union in New Zealand has been delayed after the country's provincial unions requested more information on the agreement and more time to study it.
New Zealand Rugby last Thursday announced it had postponed a plan to vote to approve the deal at its AGM on April 28. The deal requires approval by a majority of New Zealand's 26 provincial unions.
