NWHL confirms Toronto expansion franchise

The National Women's Hockey League has confirmed it is placing an expansion franchise in Toronto, the league's first team in Canada.

As reported early this month, the ownership group is led by Johanna Neilson Boynton, who played four years at Harvard, serving as captain for two seasons, and is the chief executive and co-founder of Massachusetts house design company Boynton Brennan Builders.
