Australian Rugby League side South Sydney Rabbitohs has signed up food delivery service Menulog to its sponsorship portfolio.
The deal will run through the entire 2020 season, though there is an intention for this to become a longer-term association.
It will afford the brand’s logo a presence on the shorts of South Sydney’s home, away and alternate kits, as well as on the front of the jersey worn by the club’s fans.
In addition, exclusive offers and discounts will be made available to supporters of the team, including 25-per-cent off for all the club’s members on the occasion of the first match after the resumption of the National Rugby League (NRL) season, against Sydney Roosters on Friday May 28.
Simon Cheng, marketing director of Menulog, said: “Menulog has a long history of partnering with local businesses, having launched in Sydney in 2006, and so the alignment with the Rabbitohs and the opportunity it gives us to further support the community is really exciting.”
The brand joins a sponsorship portfolio by property developer Aqualand Australia and mobile phone brand Alcatel, occupying the front of shirt designation for the home and away kits respectively.
